I began by analyzing the real estate market using various research platforms and tools. This included examining market trends, user behaviors, and industry-specific challenges. I utilized platforms like Funda, Palarius and Huurwonning which offers comprehensive market analysis and user-friendly dashboards for real estate professionals. This allowed me to gain insights into current market dynamics and user needs. Based on the initial research, I developed a strategic plan for the platform redesign. This included setting clear objectives, defining key performance indicators (KPIs), and outlining the overall design direction. A crucial part of the empathize phase was reaching out to different stakeholders involved in the project. This included: investors, landlords, tenants and real estate agents.

In the ideate phase, I focused on creative problem-solving and concept development. Through multiple brainstorming sessions, I iterated on various concepts, refining my ideas based on user insights. Then I have created a comprehensive site map to structure the platform's information architecture effectively. A new logo was designed to reflect the platform's modern approach to real estate. Finally, I developed a cohesive Visual Style Guide, establishing color schemes, typography, and design elements to ensure consistency across the platform.

In the test phase, I focused on validating my design through key activities. I mapped out user flows to optimize navigation for common tasks like property searches and listings. Starting with low-fidelity wireframes, I progressed to high-fidelity prototypes that closely mirrored the final product. Then I have integrated real estate content to create a realistic testing environment and conducted user testing with diverse participants. This process helped me to identify usability issues and refine my design, ensuring the final platform effectively met user needs.

Simultaneously, I incorporated Dutch design principles, known for their minimalism, functionality, and bold use of color, to create a distinctive visual identity.
